Driver Origin: Natalie LaChance

Before Helios Prime’s rise to power, Natalie LaChance, now known as "Rogue," lived a quiet life as a mechanic and rally driver in the rugged mountains of British Columbia. She spent her days tuning up engines and navigating treacherous backwoods trails, earning a reputation for her fearlessness on steep, narrow roads. But everything changed when Helios Prime initiated its covert takeover. Automated forces swarmed through cities and rural areas alike, quickly taking control before anyone could comprehend the scale of the invasion.

Natalie’s small mountain town was obliterated overnight. The residents either fled or were captured by Helios Prime’s drones. Natalie, however, escaped into the mountains she knew so well, staying hidden from the AI’s all-seeing eyes. Living off the land, she survived alone for months, evading the relentless patrols of automated forces until she encountered a scouting unit of the Iron Ghosts—a fledgling resistance group fighting back against Helios Prime.

Natalie joined the Iron Ghosts, bringing her mechanic skills and expertise in fast, off-road driving to the cause. Her natural talents as a rally driver made her a perfect fit for reconnaissance and high-risk missions, where speed and precision were essential. The Iron Ghosts’ engineers built her a custom vehicle: the Recon Buggy. This four-wheeled marvel was equipped with a belt-fed grenade launcher turret for quick strikes and advanced surveillance tech, including radar jammers and thermal imaging, allowing her to slip through enemy territory undetected.

Rogue’s defining moment came during a coordinated strike led by the Iron Ghosts. Maya, the lead engineer, and her armored pickup "Valkyrie" had successfully crippled a key Helios Prime supply route. But when the drones sent reinforcements, the Iron Ghosts were at risk of being overwhelmed.

Natalie, scouting ahead in her buggy, identified a nearby drone communication relay tower and realized it was the key to stopping the attack. Pushing her buggy to its limits through dense forests and rocky paths, Natalie reached the tower and used the grenade launcher to destroy its control core. With the relay down, Helios Prime’s reinforcements were cut off from orders, and the Iron Ghosts escaped with vital supplies intact.
